Curiosity is the whole point.
build the tool you wish existed.
improve the one you already have.
take things apart.
perfection isn’t the goal.
sometimes it’s not just good — it’s good enough.
but don’t let that stop you from asking a simple question:
what if this worked better?
never leave well enough alone.
You need to cut a 6° tenon, you might as well have a little fun when you do it. This utilizes the Lee Valley 12° tenon cutter blade and hardware. If you don’t already have one of those, you can just buy the blade.

You will need a 5/8” dowel for a handle and a blade. The blade can be purchased from from Elia Bizzarri. They ship for free within the USA. You could make your own out of 1/16” steel by cutting a 6° taper and sharpening the edges. Not worth the trouble in my opinion, but you do you!
